Strasbourg / Zurich - 3rd Meeting Frontiers in Analysis and Probability

March 3 - 4, 2016 in Strasbourg
Organizers: Prof. Nalini Anantharaman (Université de Strasbourg) and Prof. Ashkan Nikeghbali (University of Zurich)

The friendship between Strasbourg and Zürich has a long history, testified by the episode of the Hirsebreifahrt in 1456. The purpose of our joint seminar is to strengthen and develop further the links between Strasbourg and Zurich, two cities with a long history and tradition of mathematics.

This seminar will be more specifically devoted to mathematics at the frontiers of analysis and probability, covering topics of high current interest such as spectral theory, stochastic processes and random walks, dynamical systems and ergodic theory, random matrices, quantum chaos or Anderson localization.

About twice a year, in Strasbourg or Zürich, the meetings will be dedicated to a particular topic (taken in a broad sense) and will be an opportunity to follow the latest developments by leading experts.

This third meeting is dedicated to the Anderson model, random matrix theory and statistical mechanics.
