Slicings of parallelogram polyominoes

We define a new class of objects called Slicings of parallelogram polyominoes that enables us to find a continuum from Catalan structures to Baxter structures. We provide a new succession rule (i.e. generating tree) associated with Schröder numbers, that interpolates between the known succession rules for Catalan and Baxter numbers. We also exhibit Schröder subclasses of known Baxter classes, such as triples of non-intersecting lattice paths and Baxter permutations. Moreover, we illustrate the attempt to extend the succession rule of Baxter numbers in order to find interesting number sequences that form a link between Baxter numbers and Factorial numbers.
