Non-Local Correlations: Hidden Communication and Non-Causal Models

Non-local correlations are a direct consequence of quantum theory and remain a big mystery to this day. We discuss qualitative and quantitative aspects of causal explanations of the correlations. The shortcomings of such explanations motivate us to consider the consequences of dropping the assumption of a global causal structure.
