Abstract: We consider the nonlinear elliptic problems of the form $\Delta u+K(x)|u|^{p-1}u=0$ on a spherical cap or on the hyperbolic space. By using a special change of variables (not the stereographic projection), we can reduce the problems to those on the Euclidean space. Investigating the transformed equation, we can discuss our problem in a unified way. A part of this talk is based on the joint work with Prof. C. Bandle.
