Towards geometric functorial field theories via perturbative quantization

I will describe a program to define functorial field theories, i.e. functors with source a cobordism category, in the Riemannian setting. Our main tool is the perturbative definition of the Feynman path integral. I will present results for the two-dimensional case and very recent results when the space-time is a graph. Finally, I will describe some work in progress addressing challenges when going to higher dimensions.
