Postdoctoral position in Number Theory and Dynamics - Apply

A 3-year postdoc position is available at the Institute of Mathematics of the University of Zurich (UZH) under the supervision of Professor Claire Burrin, starting summer 2025. The precise starting date is negotiable. 

 
We seek candidates working in either one of the following areas : equidistribution problems, hyperbolic geometry and spectral theory, the spectral theory of automorphic forms, the analytic theory of automorphic forms and L-functions, homogeneous dynamics, group actions and ergodic theory, thermodynamical formalism. The successful candidate will be supported by the grant "Equidistribution in Number Theory" (https://data.snf.ch/grants/grant/10003145) and will be part of the joint ETH-UZH group Dynamics and Ergodic Theory (https://www2.math.ethz.ch/dynamics).
 
- Candidates should have (or be near completion of) a PhD in mathematics with an excellent research track record.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English. The successful candidate is expected to participate to the research and teaching life of the Institute; German is not a requirement.
