Many enumerative problems in real algebraic geometry reduce to counting the zeros of a section in a real algebraic bundle over a real algebraic manifold. Using the concept of relatively orientable bundle, one can obtain in many cases a lower bound for the number of zeros in terms of the absolute value of the Euler number of the bundle. We give several explicit applications of this principle.
