The packages 'spam 2.1' and 'spam64 2.1' have been released on CRAN

The package 'spam64' exploits the enhancements of 'dotCall64's R Foreign Function Interface
and allows now a true 64bit implementation of 'spam'.

Reinhard Furrer officially welcomed on August 29 six delegates of the
Statistics Bureau of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, China.

The visit was to inform the delegation about the (statistical) research
in Climate science at the UZH (and Switzerland in general) as well as
the statistical education and training at the UZH.
